Additional Notes

This time we’ll be talking about other people’s family members! As in:
• Do you live with your parents, Yamamoto-san?
• Do you have any siblings, Yamamoto-san?
• etc…

As you can see, all the kanjis used are the same, but the reading is a bit different. And we use a lot of -san suffix & honorific o/go prefix!

Happy learning! 。゚✶ฺ.ヽ(*´∀`*)ノ.✶゚ฺ。

  • Extremely useful! Is that possible to use this words while talking with your family memebers. E. g. call your brother oniisan?

    • As what we often saw in movies, yes we can call our brother oniisan, our sister as oneesan, otousan for father and okaasan for mother. But for our little brother and sister, it is unnatural to call them with imoutosan and otoutosan since we usually don't put that much formality to someone below our age. In that case we use their name or add kun/chan. Hope it helps 。゚✶ฺ.ヽ(*´∀`*)ノ.✶゚ฺ。
